Half of A Sample Life is joining forces with half of The Midnight Shows for a special performance at the Double Door’s Annual Halloween Bash tonight! Join Stephanie as she lends background vocals for a “Duran Duran” set and a smashing good time in Wicker Park.

Join Bend Yoga as they sponsor West Town’s Art Adventure Art-About on Saturday, June 19 from 4-10pm. Various artists will be showcased at area galleries and shops, so pick up your map in the Sculpture Courtyard at 935 N Damen.
When your eyes have had enough, exercise your ears with A SAMPLE LIFE from 8-10pm at Bend Yoga.
Be sure to visit our Audio section of this site to hear the studio version of A Sample Life’s newest live mashup, PokerKids. It is a mix of MGMT’s “Kids” and Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face.” There are, of course, signature sounds from A Sample Life. All sampling, sequencing, instrumentation, and engineering was done by Adam. All vocals and additional lyrics by Stephanie (background vocals by Adam).

A Sample Life extends a BIG thank you to everyone who came to Silvie’s for our April Fools’ Day show. As always, our loyal friends and fans deserve more thanks than ever. It was great to share our set with new fans as well.
A warm thank you to Silvie’s and the team there. From the management, to the sound, to the supportive bartender – it is a truly comfortable atmosphere in which to play and we will be back soon! Thank you also to the New Red Moons, Wolfgang Schaefer, Nick Miller, and Vance Stephens. All displayed true musicianship and provided much inspiration.

This Thursday, April 1, we are playing a special April Fools’ Day show at Silvie’s Lounge on Chicago’s north side. Come out for a sing-along dance party that will follow the premiere of A Sample Life’s newest original song. This will also be the last time to catch us live for a couple of months, as we will be headed back into the studio for recordings and videos.
